Timffle Browser ("the app", package name com.timffle.browser) is an Android web browser that can play Flash content. This policy explains how the app handles your data.
We do not collect your data
- The app has no accounts and needs no sign-in.
- The app contains no third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting or tracking (for example, Firebase, Google Analytics and Crashlytics are not used). The app only uses Google's AndroidX libraries and the WebView built into Android.
- The developer runs no server that receives data from the app. The app does not send your browsing history, input, device identifiers or any personal data to the developer.
Data that stays on your device
The following data is kept only on your phone or tablet and is never uploaded:
- Tabs, history, bookmarks and home-screen shortcuts
- Settings (search engine, the lists of sites allowed or denied to use socket connections, and so on)
- Cookies, cache and site data left by websites (managed by the Android system WebView)
- Files you saved with "Download this page"
Cookies and site data of private tabs are deleted when the last private tab is closed, and private tabs leave no history.
Websites you visit and search engines
The app is a browser: the websites you open and the search engine you choose (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, DuckDuckGo, Brave Search, Startpage, SearXNG or your own) receive your requests directly, just as in any other browser. How they handle data is governed by each website's own privacy policy.
TCP (socket) connections for games
Some online Flash games need TCP connections. This is how the app handles them:
- The first time a website asks for a connection, the app asks you first. You can allow or deny just this time, or choose "always allow" / "always deny". No website is allowed in advance. Your choices are kept only on your device, and you can change them at any time in the menu or the settings.
- Once allowed, your device connects directly to the game server, not through any server or proxy of the developer.
- What is sent over the connection is decided by the game and its server; the app does not store it, analyse it or pass it to anyone.
- For safety, Flash content cannot connect to your local network or to the device itself.
Background connections and notifications
If "Keep game connections when in the background" is on (the default) and a page has a game connection when you switch to another app, the app starts a foreground service and shows a notification so the game is not interrupted. Pressing "Stop" in the notification, or returning to the app, ends it. The app asks for the notification permission only for this notification.
Permissions
- Internet and network state: browsing and game connections.
- Foreground service, wake lock and notifications: the background game connections described above.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only): saving pages you download.
How to delete your data
- Delete items on the app's history and bookmarks pages;
- in Android, go to "Settings › Apps › Timffle Browser › Storage" and choose "Clear data"; or
- uninstall the app, which deletes all of its data.
This website (timffle.com)
- This website uses no cookies, shows no ads and loads no third-party fonts, statistics or tracking scripts.
- The "Visitors" counter at the bottom right records only a total. Your browser keeps an "already counted" flag locally so you are not counted twice; the server stores no IP address or any identifying data (to prevent inflated counts, IP addresses are kept in memory only, for about 10 minutes, and are never written to disk or logs).
Children
The app is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children (the app itself collects no data from anyone).
